Night of thunders

This evening my mom, sister and a few family friends went to my uncle's Meeting de Avance held at Brgy. San Jose. The sky was pitch black and starless but it didn't seem like it would rain any time when we arrived.
The program began around 8:45 pm with its first speaker, councilor Rico.
I cant exactly remember the exact order of the candidates who spoke but all of their speeches were promising. I have to note councilors Voltaire, Arturo and Albert for giving a strong and very promising speech.

Other candidates that are of provincial level also gave their quick speech. These candidates were running for Board Member of the 1st district of Zambales.
The son of former Congresswoman Mitos Magsaysay, Jobo, also gave his platforms when he wins the position of Congressman.
Former Governor, Vic Magsaysay, though not running for any position, gave a long speech about his various escapades during his 28 year run as governor of Zambales. He also endorsed my uncle's party including Jobo.

About five to ten minutes in the vice mayor's speech, lightning suddenly struck nearby and the power went out. Following shortly after this was, of course, rain and it didn't just stop with simple rain. The spectators, including us, were forced to compress under the three tents to avoid getting wet. The rain turned into a storm and the storm turned into a thunderstorm. My uncle, the mayor, resolved that the meeting will continue tomorrow with the last two speakers, the vice mayor and him.

Though the program ended abruptly, most of the people there weren't able to go home immediately because of the storm and the darkness that covered the town. My uncle's father gave us a ride home after the rain calmed down a bit. It wasn't until 1:15 am when the power went back.
Anyways, that's what happened this unusual stormy night.
