Woke up early again today.
Normal morning routine...
*just a side note, I'm typing all of these while watching on a side mirror the bloopers of the Big Bang Theory from seasons 1 to 5 so you can just imagine how difficult it is to focus on two things with the other one being completely hilarious.
On the way to the track oval, I crossed paths with a long time comrade and exchanged greetings before he went off the jeep. I arrived in the track oval 15 minutes early but the 15 minutes of waiting paid off because this one because our instructor was present.
We had our first meeting and orientation at the pool side of the university. During the course of the meeting, we were asked to introduce ourselves-same high school intro drill- but with an "action name" that way when we're far away in the field, anyone can signal us using our unique action name mine was Hadouken!
The course of the day went by quite fast despite, after having my 3 hour break, my next classes being all cramped up.
Lecture proper were supposed to formally begin today but since there's a blackout in some parts of the PhySci building, classes had to be cancelled or dismissed early.
I did have a full class in Hum 1, there we talked about literature and its relationship to life and reality. Our professor, Professor Yapo is a very admirable speaker with a deep voice to pair. I'd like to hear him recite Life is But a Dream someday. He's also a fast and intelligent thinker able to produce hilarious and effective simple short story examples for his students.
We were dismissed just 8 minutes before the time.
I went straight to the Humanities building just behind the UP Oblation. My class there is Stat 1 and it's held at the 3rd room of the 2nd floor. The room was very small and only occupies 16 persons including the instructor. We didn;t have any discussions, lectures or anything today, it's just another "get to know" session. We were dismissed after an hour of the three hours of the session.
I went straight to the church via dirt road and prayed.
When I got back to my room, the sky was dimming and the internet signal was low. So I watched Equilibrium.
Equilibrium has some excellent fighting scenes especially those that involves the unique Gun Kata. Christian Bale's acting was also superb giving depth to the character but the story itself was short, senseless and feels like it has no definite direction. The story lacks the power that the main character gives off. And so I didn't enjoy Equilibrium that much.
I ate 2 burger patties and a slice of spam for dinner. Sami and I played Cardfight!! again with me losing via deck-out,...again.
It's been raining since 6 o'clock this evening. The water feels really cold now it makes me want to take a refreshing bath, but I'll save that up for tomorrow.
*another side note
Gun Kata was first used as a main plot point in Equilibrium - as far as I know- and the developers of BlazBlue bought the rights to Gun Kata specifically for the character Noel Vermillion. You can see that most of her poses and actions are based of Christian Bale's character.
