Today was much nicer than how the world and its components was yesterday.
I woke up around 10:30 but it wasn't until 11 when I got out of bed.
I ate my supply of salmon and cordon bleu which were cooked by my grandmother for breakfast and took a quick bath afterwards.
Mom and I went out around 11:30. We visited the church to pray then boarded a jeep to SM Calamba.
We arrived at SM around 1 pm. We went to the sports house outlet first to buy a stopwatch. We found one at Toby's with an outrageous price of 495PhP. 495 PhP for a stopwatch!?
Anyway mom bought it for me and we went back down to the ground floor to eat lunch.
We ate at Pizza Hut. Mom ate pasta as usual and I tried out their roast chicken.
How should I put it, their roast chicken had a fine taste but it was really dry, it didn't have life to it unlike their pizzas.
After lunch, I went to National Bookstore to scan a few books looking for a new read while mom went to SM Cinemas to buy tickets for Word War Z.
She picked me up after 15 minutes saying that the next showing will be 15 minutes from then so we had to rush.
She bought a 16 oz cup of Dairy Queen first.
We got to the cinema on time but we didn't have good seats. I think we were at the 4th row.
The movie was a nice dramatic take on the Zombie genre. Usually, zombie films in the past had suspense and action dominate the plot but in World War Z, Brad Pitt's character was different from the trigger-happy zombie hunters. It had dramatic value and a smart plot all the while being humorous at certain points.
Apparently, I slept through a small part of the movie (around the time when they were at the WHO) because I'm really not used to being up close - it gives me headaches and I felt like I want to vomit.
We finished the film around 4:10 pm. I went to National Book Store again to pick out my favorite anime magazines as well as a few filler notebook and stopped over for a while at booksale then went on out way.
The trip back to the apartment was a quiet one but I still didn't fall asleep.
We got back in the University around 6 pm. We picked up the laundry and went back to the apartment.
Mom and I prayed the rosary then ate dinner.
I continued a small part of my fantasy light novel and also I was able to order a Nyanko-sensei plush doll as well as a hardbound version of the Book of Friends. I'll use them as companions when the time comes when I can cosplay Natsume Takashi.
*A note for yesterday
Yesterday, I got my copy of the last issue of Nintendo Power.
My aunt from California has been subscribed to their magazine for almost 7 years now and the magazines she always send to me.
My very first nintendo power copy was the volume where it had the cover of Metroid Prime Corruption.
Samus Aran truly is the first lady of video games. Of course, objections are allowed. Such female video game characters such as Lara Croft, Maria Rennard, Tifa Lockhart, Aerith Gainsborough, Princess Peach etc. also deserves to be called The First Lady of Video Games but I believe SAMUS ARAN IS THE QUEEN.
Anyway, the last issue of Nintendo Power, which was December 2012 issue, was very emotional and heartrending especially for us gamers (more especially to the nintendo-born gamers). It was truly an end of an era for Nintendo as a whole, goodbye Nintendo Power...it was nice playing.
