Today was really a hassle despite only having 2 academic activities.
Morning:
My day stated around 8:45 am. If it wasn't for willpower I would've skipped the NSTP 1 session to sleep some more.
As usual I was running late going to the lecture hall but I always seem to beat the time by a few minutes.
We had 3 lectures for this session, and it also happens that this lecture session of NSTP will be our last lecture proper for the common module. Next week will be the integration session and 2 weeks from today will be our midterm exams.
Day:
The hours between 1 to 6 seemed to have passed by really quick.
I spent my 3 hours of free time inside my apartment, contemplating about our upcoming CMSC 57 exams just a few hours from then.
It was a rainy afternoon (but now the rain was just for show...it's not exactly raining anymore).
My journey from my apartment to the ICS building was 'wet'. Yes, really wet. My umbrella didn't really give me a complete barrier against the rain. It had holes damn it.
Anyways, I got to the ICS a little early but then I only had 10 minutes to spare when I realized I didn't bring my Scientific Calculator with me. So what did I do? Seeing the importance of it, I ran to my apartment and back in roughly 5 minutes to get my calculator. I was wet with both sweat and rain, it felt like I just survived the Battle of Cammlan.
Anyways, it was still a good thing that I was able to take the exam with a wide-awake mind.
The exam was just 10 questions long about Counting Principles and Combinatorics... IT.WAS.DIFFICULT.
I know we're students of a prestige university but we might crumble into dust before the coal could ever turn into a diamond. We were given an hour and a half to complete the exam. I was able to answer most of the parts that doesn't require much logic.
Having said that, I really struggled a bit with analyzing the other questions.
It just goes to prove that if "A question always have at least 2 solutions. One is obvious and one is your own originality." Great, now I'm on my way to become a philosopher.
Anyways after the exam, I went to the church to pray.
I went back to the apartment to get some money to buy my dinner at chowking,
My dinner was my usual order, Chowfan with -this time- beef siomai.
While waiting for my order, I caught my friend eating there as well, so we chatted about the exam for a bit until my order arrived.
Night:
After eating my dinner in front of my laptop, I rested for a bit by watching an episode of Chaos;Head then went on to work on my take home exercise about another program which reverses a string with each word remaining still on their place.
Well then, I finished my exercise a few minutes ago, it wasn't exactly as the specifications said but I sent it to my instructor anyways.
Goodnight.
