It's probably morning or noon already in the West so Happy Independence day to my American viewers. Have a safe and majestic celebration!
I woke up at 6 a.m today and usual Thursday (same as Tuesday routine) morning routine followed.
I arrived at the track oval 12 minutes early. I spotted one of my past professors jogging around the upper field.
He seemed busy so I didn't bother him with a greeting. He was probably on his second lap by the time I spotted him.
I timed his workout. On his 2nd lap he got 8 min. in 800 meters, on his 3rd lap he got 6 minutes- 2 minutes faster than his previous lap...now I know just how athletic UP professors are both in physical and mental level.
The campus-wide alarm roared through the morning exactly 7 o'clock. We waited a little over six minutes before our instructor arrived.
We conducted our PE 2 session this morning inside the Baker Hall. What we thought would be the usual 5 laps around the ring turned into something more complicated. Our instructor made us jog and jump 3 makeshift hurdles made from low wooden benches. But even if they were low, I still had a hard time jumping over them because...well first of all, I'm really physically unfit and 2nd, my legs still hurt from the previous workouts.
After jogging/hurdle jumping for 5 laps we did the usual warm-up drills and stretches.
After the stretches we did running drills...crazy running drills for about 50 meters in distance then we had to light jog back to the starting position.
Our final activity for the session was core build-up set B.
Here's how different Set B from Set A.
Set A consisted of about 5 or 6 workout positions but the amount of stress and pressure applied to the body is bearable (in my case, that is).
Set B consisted of only 3 or 4 workout positions but the amount of stress and pressure applied to the body is VERY unbearable.
I had a hard time balancing my normal standing position when we finished the set.
I got back to the apartment around 8 a.m extremely exhausted, rested for a bit then took a bath.
I spent the 3 hours of free time surfing the net and watching Sora no Otoshimono.
I got to the ICS around 10:48 a.m.
I, again, managed to stay awake for the whole lecture session but despite that, I still got an unrewarding mark in our surprise quiz.
Our lesson was still about Pointers in C Programming.
I don't know what kind of logical mind-set other soon-to-be programmers there but I really can't seem to get every concept mastered.
We had a normal lecture in CMSC 57. Our instructor was really acting weird the whole session. It almost felt as if he was struck with a problem so big that it affects his teaching manner.
In Math 27, we also had a simple lecture about Exponential derivatives and Integrals yielding exponential function....it was difficult as always (ah mathematics...one of the core of the pains of the human brain).
Before HUM 1, our group had a short meeting regarding the location filming of the 100-word story that we submitted. The leaders finally came to a conclusion that we'd all meet up at Sunday behind the U.P. Oblation.
During our meeting, my mom messaged me saying that my orders from an online anime merchandise shop arrived. Their information about 2-3 days of delivery in provincial areas holds true and they finally earned my full trust. I'll be hanging out more on their online shop from now on.
We had a 20-item short quiz about our 2 reading assignments, in Hum 1. I managed to answer all but one...but still I'd probably get either 16 or 17 in the quiz.
After the quiz, our professor gave a long lecture about analyzing literature.
In STAT 1 Lab, we had a fun and difficult exercise.
Each group members were tasked to get information about (height, weight etc.) from other members of other groups. It was fun in the sense that we get to interact with other people and have fun while taking in the frustration of Statistics.
Part 2 of the exercise was about the presenting different types of variables (qualitative, quantitative and discrete) in both graphical and textual approach.
I finished the exercise 30 minutes ahead of time and I'm pretty sure, aside from my textual approach, most of my answers are correct.
I went to the church to pray then went back to the apartment.
Since I got back I've been in front of my laptop and I think I should've really studied even for just a bit.
Well, I reap what I sow so no regrets, even at the end.
Sorry my alca-pony is charging right now so no pics for this post. But I have a ton of surprises on Saturday so watch out for that.
Goodnight!
