I figured I needed to at least update a little on my blog even for just a little.
First of my reason for not posting any etnry for a while is because I have nothing really big to tell that would spark great interest from netizens around the world. After all I'm not Haruhi Suzumiya to have every day go along according to her preferences.
Let me see, last Monday was the unexpected suspension of classes. It was kind of a repeat from the Monday a week ago where classes and exams were also suspended. The following Tuesday this week was also suspended due to heavy rains. Today, Wednesday, the rain has calmed down a little and news reports say that the tropical storm, Trammy I think is the national name, has crossed over the Philippine Area of Responsibility. Still even if the weather has calmed down a little, today was a national non-working holiday celebrating the life that former senator Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino, Jr. lived.
Around the late hours of the morning up till now rain has been going on and off ranging from a slight drizzle to a possible T-storm (oh I hope not, storm is enough).
The final verdict about the fate of the rest of the school week was finally declared by the ever so thoughtful and kind governonr of Laguna, Gov. ER Ejercito, a UP alumni and actor famous for his portrayal of Asiong Salongga (from the movie of the same name) and Emilio Aguinaldo (El Presidente).
Hi decision to suspend classes until Friday was probably due to the abnormal weather and flooding of certain areas in Laguna.
I have decided to go home for the rest of the week back at Zambales. I do hope that it will be a nice journey back home.
Still even with the unusually long school weekend which started Saturday last week and will end on Monday next week, us students are in no position to feel comfortable because most of us still have exams on our front desks and probably tons of makeup classes...or worst an extended semester.
I may be a passive person but I hope for the safety of all the affected people not just here in the Philippines but in other places as well (if there are any).
Well then, take care.
