I own a Canon EOS 1100D and it's been with me for every cosplay/anime conventions that passed for the last two years.
While I'm not too sure about the usual life span of professional camera's, I made sure to take care of mine so as to be able to use it to the fullest during events or random dates. Just a few days ago, it failed to switch on.
The battery was fully charged but when I slid the switch to ON it wouldn't start. Usually the first signal that the camera has powered up is that a red light would blink at the lower right of the camera. This time, nothing, not even a beep came from my camera.
Now the quickest solution for this problem should be to bring it to the nearest Canon shop, and I suppose the nearest one would be at SM Mall of Asia. The good thing is, my mom and I already plan to go there either on October 5 or 6 but the bad thing is those 2 days are the dates when I need my camera the most.
Looks like I'll be bidding my camera farewell for a while.
Is there anyone out there who (though I doubt someone would really have a direct solution should you guys read this far into this post) have experienced the same thing with their cameras?
