When a little girl smiles

*Take note, I am not a pedophile...I am a lolicon.*

Yesterday when my mom boarded the jeep to the main road outside UPLB, I went with her and we took a pit stop at Lety's, a store specializing in buko pies and other Filipino treats. Mom bought me a box of espasol. Now what sets Lety's espasol different from others begins with its container and ends with its taste.

Here's a pic:

The usual appearance of espasols are irregularly cylindrical in shape wrapped in banana leaves.
Lety's espasol deviated from that tradition and instead made a much more modern looking espasol while keeping, if not improving, its glorious taste.
Lety's keep theirs in a box where 8 pieces lie in wait to be eaten. Unlike the traditional espasol, they are circular and packs a lot more punch in defeating hunger. One piece is enough and eating two consecutively is too much.

Visitors of the Philippines, and even other Filipinos for that matter should really try Lety's espasol. I don't know of any branches outside of Los Banos, Laguna though.

100 PhP per box by the way.

Now to relate the title to this entry. When my mom boarded the bus and I awaited a jeep back to the university, a little girl dropped one of the marbles that she was playing with. I picked it up and when I handed it to her I was treated to a refreshing slight head bow in gratitude and an innocent smile.
That's right! Little girls should smile more often to pathetic and socially awkward people like me. (I apologize for calling other people pathetic and socially awkward. If it's just me then it really is definitely just me.)
