I'm really excited for part 2 of the film adaptation of The Hobbit. For one, it's because director Jackson expanded the content of the book drawing plot material from the journeys of other characters (well, mainly just Gandalf). And since it's the 2nd film of the trilogy and bears the title "Desolation of Smaug", we could all hope for an epic conclusion in the 3rd film which will most likely feature the Battle of Five Armies as its climax.
Right now though I'm still in training to take on the mighty final exam of STAT 1 tomorrow morning. With only 100 HP anyone would take it pretty easy but its defense and offense boasts an exponential difference to us students. The battle will be a five-star difficulty.
Also unlike Bilbo and Bard, I have neither the One Ring or a set of bow and arrows to overpower my opponent. All I have is an overworked brain who just wants to fly to the sky and relax (no really, being able to fly telepathically would really be great).
I've spent the day doing a few more things aside from raping my mind with formulas.
Earlier this morning, I finally got my grade in MATH 27. I was exempted from taking the final exam and overall got 2.25.
This really proves that the only real problems that I have left are STAT 1 and CMSC 21.
I managed to wring out another idea for a fantasy novel while doing some business in the toilet. It's still on the conceptualization phase as I still don't have a firm grasp over plot elements and unique points.
Oh yeah, I also had a mild case of stomachache earlier. Apparently too much of a good thing is still really a bad thing. Last night I ate maybe a third of my mom's prunes. I woke up wanting to immediately greet the toilet bowl a smelly good morning.
Maybe it's only now that I fully feel the effect of the Finals Week. While it's not really a sickness, it's a damn plague to all students wanting an early semester break.
Stomachaches, headaches, sleep deprivation, and anything else lethal but not necessarily deadly begins affecting students.
It's like playing Castlevania's boss rush mode. No save mode, limited healing items, overpowered (not always, though) bosses, and of course a reward befitting the performance.
Damnit I should be studying right now...but deep down I actually want to go full retard watching some of the animes in my collection.
"You can't always walk through open doors because you're never sure what's waiting on the other side."
That pretty much explains my current dilemma right now. That quote is...originally mine I suppose? Unless someone already quoted something which has the same structure then I absolutely do not claim any ownership of that quote above.
So time to hit the books again...
It's like my reference books are calling out to me.
,that is the qurestion:
Whether 'tis nobler for the mind to suffer
The Slings and Arrow of STAT 1
...at least I'm being humorous about it.
