...it hits hard.
All those promises I made before the semester vacation won't be coming to realization anytime soon, I suppose.
This is mainly because all those plans start to overload once I see just how fast the internet here at home. Jogging (nope), indoor exercises (nope)...and all other nopes for physically demanding tasks.
Right now I'm debating about what I should do about Bleach.
As most main stream otakus know Bleach is one of Shounen Jumps "Big Three", the other two being Naruto and One Piece.
I haven't completely watched Bleach yet (well actually I haven't even completed the first 25 episodes yet), and I haven't progressed that much in the manga.
In my defense, it's pretty hard to catch up to one lengthy anime if you weren't hooked up to it at the very beginning.
Although I do get some plot arcs just by watching the Bleach aired on Animax, I feel kinda left out when I don't find out what happens on the next arc and so on.
Animax is currently airing Bleach on a late night time slot. I'm still quite surprised that the local television program GMA got hold of the right to air it first...what's more it's in Filipino Dub.
Filipino dub is the bane of anime programs here in the Philippines. Yes, I openly hate dubbing especially Filipino dubs. It just sounds so inappropriate.
Yes the dubbers have talent, but no I am not pleased by them using it to dub anime. Maybe because I've remained faithful to subs with original audio for so long that I see dubbing in our native language so putrid.
The opening theme song of the current season that Animax airs caught my ears the moment I heard it.
It's one of those catchy opening themes that gets you kicking even before the actual show starts.
The title of the song is Chu-Bura by KELUN.
...SAA MABUTA WO AKETE!!!
oh shit that frission. (I'm listening to the song until I start to hate it right now).
Most of my inspiration comes from songs and scenarios. One technique I use to pump me up before I start writing (or conceiving a new idea) is to listen to opening themes of animes and imagining an opening theme song with different scenarios and characters.
It's a great exercise for visualization. The only problem is the part where I write.
If I was good at drawing, I would've made a manga out of my ideas but I wasn't gifted with the ability to draw what comes to mind. And so I write.
*here comes another philosophy lesson*
Words are easier to express than images. Especially those that come to mind at the spur of a moment. But because images are more difficult to express, people find more value in it. Maybe that's why a picture says a thousand words.
Well anyway, I've managed to create another firm universe for a new story. All I need now are characters and an actual plot.
The bad side here is that once I start with a new story, I start to forget about the others.
If only the mind has its own external hard drive...or I have eidetic memory. Eidetic memory is good.

I also draw inspiration from landscapes like this. I snapped this photo two years ago at one of my relative's property. It reminds me of St. Marguerite Academy. |
