Our Pambansang Kamao (lit. National Fist) Manny Pacquiao is finally back as he bagged his first
win since his fight against ring rival Juan Manuel Marquez last 2011. The match was
held at The Venetian Macao, Macau with over 13,000 spectators.
I know all these because of the vast immediate information held by the internet despite not
being able to watch the fight itself...my radio malfunctioned and as I was watching the live
stream my pocket wifi device ran out of juice.

Many viewed this match as Pac-man's turning point in his career. If he loses he hangs up the gloves and bids boxing goodbye, if he wins then a lot of routes open up from there. Even though he appeared in top condition, the Manny in the ring today wasn't the Manny we all knew from before. What people wanted to see was the Pac-man who knocked down his opponent, throwing in punch after punch, and didn't rely on the judges' scorecards to win. Still, even without the knockout, the people are proud that their champion is back in the game. Although the hopes of Pacquiao-Mayweather clash is still a vague dream even with a single win comeback.

Pacquiao said that the fight wasn't his comeback, but the comeback of the people struck by the typhoon three weeks ago in Central Philippines.
