After a three-week long vacation I'm back again here at my academic cave in the vicinity of UPLB.
Even with this day reserved for a 6 hour long road trip it still started with a few small bangs. Early this day the legendary battle of the beauties from the worlds of the known universe (nope just Earth really) was concluded. Our country's candidate from Laguna, also a UPLB alumna, finished 3rd runner up while Miss Venezuela was crowned this years Miss Universe.
I still wonder though, out of the 8 planets in our solar system and all the other star systems on our galaxy, and all the other galaxies in the universe how come Earth is always the winner of the Miss "Universe"...I know it's an overused gag, sorry.
Later this morning was the 6 years in the making grudge match Nonito "The Filipino Flash" Donaire Jr. against Darchinyan. Our country's top two boxers Pac-man and Flash haven't been on the good side of the limelight lately because of their respective previous bouts. Pac-man suffered a K.O. loss against his long time rival in the ring, Marquez, and Flash lost by unanimous decision against Guillermo Rigondeaux (pretty difficult to spell).
Nonito's match earlier wasn't anything impressive at all. From the early rounds to the 8th many believed that it wasn't Nonito's fight. And if it wasn't for the referee stoppage in round 9, it would've been Nonito's 3rd loss basing from the judges' score cards.
Aside from the country's representatives for international events, a lot also happened in-between my last few hours of preparation before departure at our house. The people there can't seem to live without war either in actions or in words. Still we did left (mom and I) on a good note. Since it's only one month before the Christmas vacation (New year vacation for some), it won't take much for them to not forget about my presence at home.
We made a pit stop at SM Megamall to run a few errands and eat dinner.
Finally my taste buds got the chance to dance in the taste of Yoshinoya's famous beef bowl. I first came upon Yoshinoya at Cosplay Mania's food eating contest. Imagine eating 2 Super Beef Bowls for free...damnit I'm drooling.
Anyway the ride was smoother from SM Megamall to my dorm than from our house to SM Megamall.
We arrived around 9:15 pm, arranged a few of my stuff then went online again.
I still have a couple of unpublished photos as well as a review for RWBY 16. I have to hold back a bit since it's pretty late now and I need an early start tomorrow to complete my registration for this semester.
Well, as Samwise Gamgee would have put it
"*long sigh* Well...I'm home."
...
On a side note, I am deeply bothered by three mouth sores under my tongue. One unforgivably large and two halflings, still whatever the size it's enough to impair my speech to random gibberish every time I baby it with my saliva. It really is painful but even with the best medicine around, everything takes its time.
