Saving and spending

By home I mean my second home right now which is my warm apartment in the university.
It's two weeks in the second semester and thankfully I haven't been torn to pieces just yet...although I have no plan to, even if it is to be expected near the final weeks of the semester.

Anyway I'm pretty much going strong in terms of saving up my weekly allowance. Normally, I spend more during the second semester than on the first mainly because Cosplay Mania is held every late September or early October. Still with Christmas right around the corner, I have to get my act together. The only things that I've spent on last week was a small box of donuts (munchkins in the language of Dunkin' Donuts).

I suppose it's obvious now on what I'm actually saving ka-ching for. Yep, it's for a Nintendo 3DS and a few games on my wish list.
The only challenge that I have to face the moment I have saved up enough money is to actually spend it.
Hard earned ka-ching, especially those which took time to earn, are the hardest things to spend even with a grandiose product. Perhaps this is the main reason why story villains are more attached to vast riches than actual things that could be bought through all those gold. Of course, it's unfair because, well, they are villains and they get their ka-ching, even if it was "hard" earned, through illegal methods most of the time.

There are those types of people who knows how to balance savings and spending, we call them accountants...kidding aside, spending too much is fatal especially if you're independent. That's one crucial aspect of life...always have savings.

All those talk about saving money aside, my experience at conventions gave me a cold heart attitude towards my savings. I suppose you could say there are only two to three special occasions when I really drain my wallet of its flesh and blood.
1. During cosplay conventions (2 or 3 times a year)
2. Christmas (gifts mainly for my mom and grandmother)
3. Birthdays (mainly for my mom and grandmother)

Ok, enough about money, it's getting smelly in my blog.
My main post of advice is, as most elders say- USE.YOUR.MONEY.WISELY.
...and sometimes go full out being Save loads, spend big, but never empty.
Sadly, Kiss-shot only answers to mister donuts...picky loli-vamp.
