This was an extremely tiring day on my part. I slept late last night finishing up World 4 of 3D Land, woke up around 6:15 this morning and traveled all the way from my hometown back here at the university with my mom in a little over six hours. My head was fuzzy during the trip despite sleeping for the majority of it.
Super Mario 3D Land part 2:
I made it through World 4. I knew it felt weird how all the sub-stages in each world are almost like a breeze in comparison to previous Super Mario installments. While I do enjoy the smartly crafted levels, they're undoubtedly short and easy. But my doubts were finally dispelled because I found out that after the initial 7 worlds are another 7 Special worlds that are incredibly "Nintendo Hard"-er.
I got through world 3 and 4 no problem. The final stage of both worlds were like photocopies of each other. There's no real challenge just yet, still just a warm up. I am loving the mix of nostalgia and excitement brought by returning mechanics in the game, and new and fresh ideas as well.
I look forward to the following worlds but I have a four day long lag time.
Last week was our penultimate week before the Christmas break. Despite all the crammed events and charity programs fitted on the last two weeks of the semester's first half, we're still going full blast in academics. There's absolutely no room for relaxation just yet. I sense that this last four days (Tuesday to Friday) will be one of the longest four day wait of my life.
In the meantime, please enjoy a Blackforest cake .
