Progress Report: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D part 3

I haven't kept up with my progress in Ocarina of Time 3D since my fine tuning at Goron City. I'm adult Link right now suffering the wrath of the Floormaster at the Forest Temple...it just gives me the creeps every time their shadow appears and then they suddenly pop out.

Ocarina of Time 3D part 3:

Thanks to respawning back to Link's house every time I save and quit the game, I got an easy pass back to Kokiri Forest. I had to roam around for a few minutes to figure out where the Lost Woods. When I got to the Lost Woods "following the melody" was easier than expected should I pumped up the volume early on. I found Saria with a few hitches n the road but I'm proud that I got through with just a few tries. After learning Saria's song I went back to the big Goron brother and treated him to music he can't resist.

Dodongo's Cavern

My escapade here was short lived because this dungeon was far easier than the others to come. I just went full steam (or full blast) ahead with the bombs. But I gotta say I was lucky for dropping a bomb on one of the eyes of the giant skull at the central room. If I didn't do that I would've been stuck for a while longer.

King Dodongo only required precision and focus to be defeated. It didn't took much out of me because, again, this dungeon was far easier than those to come.

After slaying the Dodongo the Goron's celebrated, Darunia gave me the Goron's Ruby and Link was given the title of Sworn Brother.

Death Mountain

Perhaps it was a smart idea to buy a Hylian shield early on. My Deku shield burned out back at the cavern and all I had was a metal shield that Link couldn't even lift.
Death Mountain was particularly annoying because of the continuous falling debris falling onto our little hero. Navi kept insisting that I go to the fairy first to learn an improved Spin Attack which uses magic.

When I got the Spin Attack, I went ahead and collected Din's Flame as well as Farore's Wind.

Zora's Domain

Next stop was Zora's Domain. Out of the frying pan and in to the water glass. It was easy getting around Zora's domain, getting fish and the ability to dive for 6 damn seconds. I had trouble on the belly that came after to save princess  Ruto.

Jabu-Jabu's Belly

Great, floating jellyfishes and dangerous bubbles: more enemies that require precision to kill.
Meeting Princess Ruto early on was easy but finding out how to get through the three way sealed doors where part of Jabu-Jabu's belly electrifyingly dance was frustrating. Turns out, after circling around the dungeon, I.JUST.HAD.TO.TALK.TO.RUTO.AGAIN. That crazy tsundere princess was killing me and my console's battery life!
Anyway with the princess around I got through the room where the boomerang was.
Everything else after getting the boomerang was difficult. The boomerang wasn't as easy to wield as the boomerang in Phantom Hourglass. I spent maybe about an hour trying to get past through the parasitic tentacles and the the giant octopus that captured Princess Ruto.

A tsundere, I tell you! Princess Ruto is a tsundere!
The final boss the hardest that I fought as of my current progress. Like I said, the boomerang was difficult to wield and the movement of the enemy just makes it harder. I managed to pull through with only a quarter of the last heart left. It's the most victorious moment of the my Zelda career as of the moment.
After Jabu-Jabu's belly, the next stop was back at Hyrule Castle town, and that's where the story took a step in badass.

All grown up?

There was a quick but meaningful cut-scene right after arriving near the drawbridge. We see Impa riding off with Zelda behind her escaping from none other than master evil, Ganondorf. In the process of escaping, Zelda managed to give a sudden and unexpected parting gift in the form of the Ocarina of Time (queue sfx).

As per Zelda's instructions, I went straight to the Temple of Time were the legendary song of time opened the sacred realm and there it was, the Master Sword.

After another cut-scene and a few story-necessary dialogues, we see Link all grown up and Hyrule in complete disarray. A new journey finally begins.

Kakariko village

I couldn't figure out what Zelda, sorry I mean Sheikh wanted me to get before proceeding to the Forest Temple. I had to move all the gravestones back at the Kakariko graveyard to find the gravekeeper's resting place and get the hookshot. In the process of acquiring the hookshot, I also learned the Sun's Song and the Song of Storms at the windmill of Kakariko which serves as an exit from the gravekeeper's tomb.

Kokiri Forest, Lost Woods and Forest Temple

When I arrived at the Forest, I noticed that not only is the dimension of space of Hyrule in in disarray but also the dimension of time. The Kokiri's didn't seem to age a bit but the forest have greatly changed.

I took my last run on foot at the Lost Woods. When I got to the meadow, Sheikh appeared again and taught me the Minuet of Forest, a song which automatically teleports me to the forest meadow. That's right, no more getting lost in the Lost Woods!

I'm now at the Forest Temple and the Floormaster's are giving me the creeps. It's bad enough that they give a mild jumpscare but why do they have to throw me out of the dungeon!?

Some notes*

I got a mini heart attack after realizing I missed out on learning Epona's song seven years ago. I feel like I'm missing out a lot in the Ocarina of Time experience if I'm going through the game without ever riding Epona. Turns out, some forums stated that after the Forest Temple, the player could always go back to the past by replacing the Master Sword on the pedestal.

I already knew beforehand that Sheikh was female and she's actually Princess Zelda. Her presentation in Ocarina of Time 3D made it a little obvious because, comparing her appearance from the original game and the remake, Sheikh looks a hotter and sexier, not that Zelda never was, Zelda was the apple of everyone's eye even on her usual attire.
