Despite the long title my walkthroughs written here are shorter than how they should be since I'm drawing all the info from memory. Most of these starts off around two or three days ago up till my playthrough this afternoon.
Pokemon X part 4:
I'm starting to fear that exploration in the latest outing of the Pokemon series seemed to have become too light even with the improved graphics. Obtaining the bike through a simple quiz was not amusing at all. Though this gets rid of slow exploration, making it fast didn't prove to be all that much.
The time I spent in the previous places during my last playthrough (Ambrette and Cyllage) were also surprisingly short lived considering I have visited most of the houses and talked to most of the people. Still, the new experience overcomes all odds and I could only hope that there are more surprises coming.
Riding behind a Rhyhorn to get to the Glittering Cave was this towns main attraction. Team Flair wasn't all that much with their Houndour. All I needed was a few shots of bubble and water gun from my Wartortle and I'm good to go. Reaching the end of the cave, another event that originated from previous generations (I'm not sure if it's from Gen I or Gen II) was revived creating that nostalgic feel. The player and her rival are given the option of choosing one of the two fossils Jaw and Sail fossil. Since I don't like the serious name, I chose the Sail fossil and consequently got an Amaura which I nicknamed Borealis.
I especially enjoyed mindlessly biking around Cyllage city before fighting the rock climbing, badass gym leader who looks like a character from Gurren Lagann, Grant. I didn't expect to fight only two pokemons, what's more these pokemons are the two revived from the Jaw and Sail fossils. I only had a problem with figuring out their primary weakness, once I hit it off with my Sherry (Wartortle) and Holt (Braixen) I owned the gym leader. Who do you think I am?
I'm currently at Shallour city on my way to the smartly named "Mega Evolution Guru". I might consider going back the previous places just to level up. My other Pokemons are way behind my top two (Sherry and Holt).
Here's my current party:
Sherry (Wartortle)
Holt (Braixen)
Chirp (Fletchinder)
Essere (Espurr)
Diggersby
My current party is too inclined to flame and psychic Pokemons. I have a Pikachu currently at the daycare and I'm planning to take back my newly caught Eevee from the PC and level him up to a Sylveon. I'd gladly trade for a Leafeon but I can't find any moss stones lying around.
