The Cicadas cry on quiet afternoons

If I'm ask what's the best school setting in all of the anime that I've watched, I'd answer St. Marguerite Academy from Gosick.

Everything from the entrance gate to the botanical garden atop the library is a paradise for me. It has that rare summer afternoon feel where you could just go up a high place and oversee the world bathe in the light of the sun. It's the only place, other than Japan of course, where I'd like to spend a great number of years in my life.

Sadly because of my hatred for society I know of no place that comes close to the appearance of St. Marguerite Academy. There are places that when pieced together might have the closest resemblance to the academy but it's incomplete.
Two of the places that I consider close to several places of the academy are found in my hometown and the neighboring town.

The Garden of Prayers is one of my favorite spots to spend a nice and quiet afternoon. The view from the top is great especially at the far mountains and subdivisions on the east side of the garden.
I payed a short visit at the place to do some sightseeing before the vacation is over. I never get tired of just standing there and enjoying the orgasm it gives the rods and cones of my eyes.

My elders often say that the place was built around the 1970-80's so that those who died and whose bodies were dumped at the side of the mountain were given peace.
A giant statue of Mother Mary stands tall at the top of the Garden of Prayers and there's also a small chapel that holds regular holy masses.
A few years back, the Garden of Gethsemane was constructed just across and below the Garden of Prayers. It serves as a cemetery.

The Garden of Prayers is one of the places where I can just stay there and say The Cicadas cry on quiet afternoons. Episode 12 of Gosick was especially a peaceful episode and one of the best anime episodes that I've watched. St. Marguerite Academy, in a summer afternoon, Kujo and Victorique spending time under the shade of a tree. I wonder when I'll meet my Golden Fairy.
