I managed to traverse the whole Freedom Park twice searching for a good booth to entertain myself and food stalls to keep my energy up. I don't know which band was performing or what event was being held at the stage earlier as my attention was purely drawn to the smell of shawarma and barbecue. Sadly, I didn't get to eat any of those or anything from other food stalls at the fair because of long lines and rather aggressive people who don't give a damn where the flow of the lines were going.
Most, if not, all booths from last year are back. Some didn't have any attractions, some were empty and some were overflowing with people who want to play or just take a picture. UP SOMA is now riddled with Shingeki no Kyoin cosplayers, they also have the same attraction of the wish tree (pretty much like what we do during Tanabata) and gold fish scooping (not sure about that, though. I am sure that I saw a basin in their booth).
Other attractions in the fair (that I remember) were a Flappy Bird challenge, a karaoke booth, a basketball shooting booth, a free coffee and biscuits booth, a Just Dance (kinect) booth, and THE WALL.
The rides present in the fair were the same as last year such as the caterpillar, Ferris Wheel and a roller coaster. The Road Rage car show was an absolute annoyance to the people walking at the edge of the park. They took up a large space in the wrong area.
There was also a Mixed Martial Arts event held at the Baker Hall. I wanted to watch even if it featured amateurs because there were a lot of fights and the ticket price seemed reasonable. The doors of Baker Hall were closed when I got there though so...fukouda.
Nothing in the fair caught me attention enough to make me want to spend my allowance on it. My walk to the fair was for pure sotogawa interaction. I could've stayed longer but my stomach began to complain.
If I were to give a rating for my experience this evening based on last years Feb. Fair, I think this one is a notch lower. My mom and I will still enjoy tomorrow.
Some of our instructors happily encouraged us to enjoy the fair, and that I will do tomorrow.
