At Geisha’s Blade 芸者の刃, we are committed to offer the finest quality Japanese style swords and armors at an affordable price to Japanese martial arts practitioners, sword collectors/enthusiasts in the country....those are probably the most memorable words that I'll ever read from two of the best contemporary samurais in the Philippines.
Transactions are mainly done in their website which is already an eye-candy in itself. Browsing through their main selection of swords will probably drop your jaw a few times, as that is what transpired as I took my first look at their page.
Their items that are still making me drool to this day are mostly those which are familiar to an anime fan's eyes. These are the Nietono no Shana (minus the flames), Kenshin's sakabatou katana, Saber's Caliburn and Kirito's Elucidator.
But what really takes the cake (for me at least) both in price, aesthetics and elegance is their Onna Bugeisha Naginata (pictured below, the longer one)
For years I've been holding a stick of a broom and pretend it's a naginata, thinking that I can portray the great Izanagi no Mikoto on school plays, that never happened though, but that up there, that magnificent piece of craftsmanship is the very epitome of beauty and fatality.
I first learned about Geisha's Blade about a year ago after seeing Jin Joson's post on her page about a sword that she helped in designing, particularly the tsuba (or hand guard) part of the sword. The sword was an exact model of Kenshin Himura's reversed edge sword (Sakabatou katana) in the film adaptation of the famous manga/anime series Rurouni Kenshin by Nobuhiro Watsuki.
I was full of skepticism at first because displayed on their shelves were real swords. REAL SWORDS. Did they learn how to activate their magic circuits, visualize and trace swords to materialize them? Immersing yourself with a bit of their history will tell you that no, they don't have special powers but they do have the next best thing, passion.

That's offering up physical sharpness and mental sharpness, both at the same time.
They also have their own dojo for those interested in honing their discipline and skills. After all, the only other thing that is better than owning a sword from them is learning how to wield it straight from the masters.
On a final note, despite the faint-inducing prices of their items on their shop (which are actually worth it based from customer reactions) they are pretty generous on several occasions every year.
They're the Samurai Santa (oh...that's supposed to be a secret) every Christmas, the Cupid of Blades every Valentines and every year they get cosplay enthusiasts to send in their best poses with a sword - any kind of sword - for their annual Slash-a-pose contest.
Speaking of the Cupid of Blades, they already have their arrow..errm sword loaded and ready to hit a new home. Their latest contest which started February 5, 2014 is underway and will end on March 5, 2014. As a matter of fact, this article is an entry and this is the current holy grail:
Raiden's High Frequency blade seen in Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.
But regardless of whatever season it is, they're the Jack of All Blades all year round.
