(you know this is really getting on my nerves, why can't I edit the template properties to show the date posted damnit!?)
While a four month vacation from academic mental cruelty sounds pretty awesome, once I start to think about all the things I could do within that four months worries me a little.
I've listed some activities that I want to do some of these are:
- world domination
- win at monopoly
- cosplay adult Link (Ocarina of Time version) or Kaito Shion, or both (but not at the same time, wth)
- learn how to ride a bike
- finish my current games
- go nuclear on programming projects (especially Java)
- jog every morning
- find an interesting summer job with a direct hit on my interests
- horse riding while cosplaying link. (Remember the real life Epona I posted about a few weeks ago?)
But then again only a few of those fall between what I want and what I can do as of the moment.
World domination is out of the question since, well, ever heard of a kind and just ruler who lived longer than the corrupt ones?
Monopoly on the other hand is a multiplayer board game. "Multiplayer" that itself is already a scary thing. What's scarier is your opponents are either sitting beside you or in front of you. *shudders*
Then there's cosplaying. The next big cosplay event in the Philippines is Ozine Fest 2014 which would take place at the SMX Convention. Finally the event organizers decided to move on to the big guns instead of taking place again at SM Megamall. While there's no real problem with the event halls of SM Megamall, the main complaint about con-goers are the performance of the security guards. Yes they're doing their job, but no they are not doing it without force and verbal attacks. Hopefully the event goes smoothly in SMX much like Cosplaymania and 2012's Vocafusion.
Going back to my cosplay plans, the reasons why Link and Kaito are next in line for my "to-cosplay" list are because I want to cosplay at least one vocaloid character (Kaito) and since the Minish Cap, I've become a budding hardcore fan of the Zelda franchise and I really idolize Link both young and adult. Plus cosplaying as Link will get me closer to the Zelda cosplayers more easily.
Before I start planning though, I really need to cut off some of my body fat and at least lose some weight. Not only do I want to get a little slimmer, I really want to get fit so that I won't tire easily when doing extraneous work (especially for my nephew) which is why I really need to jog ever morning like how I used to do during the first semester of my sophomore year.
My other plans should speak for themselves. I also would like to find an interesting summer job. That would really help me gain a lot of social experience to level up. Then earning money for my other plans comes after.
So far, all I've been doing is riding around Hyrule trying to guess which temple I'm going to go next without minding the cute "Hey Listen" of Navi.
Epona is really the best thing that happened to travelling since getting the bicycle in Pokemon Red.
My next Summer Daze post will pretty much cover my troubles in the Water Temple. At least it's a more refreshing dungeon than the Fire Temple. Talk about driving synesthesia to the absolute fiery limit seeing red all over.
