Here I go again with my x-in-1 day make-up posts. This post covers April 17, the Maundy Thursday, one of the busiest days every Holy Week.
I had a rough morning going through the Chrism mass at the Cathedral of St. Augustine. We arrived early and got good seats but I still fell asleep for about half of the mass.
There were fewer people gathered on this year's Chrism mass, or it might be because my mom and I were seated at the front for me to notice the number of people at the back; we sat at the back last year.
One of my friends from high school as well as my teachers from elementary also attended the Chrism mass.
We got home around twelve noon. We would've arrived later if it wasn't for me refusing our traditional "Go to Chowking to order Halo-Halo after the Chrism Mass". I ended up regretting making that decision even now.
We attended the Washing of the Feet around 5 pm at San Nicholas de Tolentino parish in our hometown. Again, I fell asleep during the sermon and throughout whole washing of the feet ceremony. The revelation of the Blessed Sacrament was grand this time around and a lot of people attended.
After the Washing of the Feet, the next Holy Week activity for this Thursday was the Bisita Iglesia.
According to my mom, we either have to visit seven or nine churches around the neighboring towns. We've all been doing this for years now so I practically know by heart which of the churches around Subic and Olongapo we were going to visit.

After the Bisita Iglesia, we stopped at the Coffee Shop to order tacos for take-out before Good Friday.
The whole day passed by with me still craving for Halo-Halo. Since Thursday and Friday are the climax of the Holy Week activities, all stores, restaurants etc. stops operation either earlier than usual or for the whole day.
