Summer Daze 4

Today was supposed to be a nice and peaceful day dutifully playing my part in saving Hyrule until the three ladies of my life (the real physical ones) started an argument which stemmed from a can of sardines to a new tablet. It was entertainment for me until they started to involve me. I don't know why but that's apparently how rational people verbally fight each other - When the argument falls into a "no one wins" state, involve the quiet one.

Anyway, stupid family argument aside I've finally found my rhythm in the Water Temple and caught the Boss key. The only thing that frustrated me even more than the level design was the slope with three rotating spikes going left to right which leads up to the boss room.

That up there is what I'm talking about. I think I spent thirty minutes in the bathroom trying to figure out whether or not I forgot something crucial in the dungeon, and also going straight up in the middle of the slope because, well, just look at the floor design. The middle part is obviously different so that's supposed to be the road! (conventionally at least). Turns out, staying close to the left or right wall is the way to go.

Morpha was a fairly easy boss fight but it took me a while to finish it because of my terrible handling of L-targeting and the extended hookshot.
After the boss fight, Link is then transferred again back to the avant grande meeting room of the sages. It never gets old, I tell you, it never gets old.
Plus the dialogue of each sage after completing the dungeon is really interesting.
Princess Ruto is still going on about Link's commitment and even made a mention of Princess Zelda in the process.

Thank goodness for the fact that Ruto is not a yandere, otherwise Zelda would really take a different turn.

On a side not, I'm also currently on the way of saving all the sages in A Link Between Worlds. My favorite new comer so far is Irene the witch. Her attitude towards our little green knight is very cute to be honest.

Well now that I got the Water Medallion, the next stop would be to the Shadow Temple.
But I focused on a few side quests first.

Right after the sage scene with Ruto was a scene with Sheik in Lake Hylia, which was then filled with water now. Zelda can be pretty romantic you know and even if she presents herself with the tough Sheik persona, her constant near interaction avoidance from Link is also really cute on her part.

Now then, here comes one of the most memorable moments in my Zelda gameplay.

"When water fills the lake, shoot for the morning light".

It took me about half of my arrows shooting from the wrong place trying to guess what I was doing wrong since nothing was happening.
I shot my first fifteen arrows between those to pillars. I didn't actually think that through, of course, you should shoot from where you read the instructions. Damnit.

Either way, I still like that rewarding moment when I finally got it right.

After getting the fire arrows, I tried on fishing (got 7 pounds, that was my limit) but I personally like fishing in Phantom Hourglass. Sure it lacks thrill but at least there were variation besides weight.

I'm currently facing the Shadow Temple right now. Very creepy place to be honest and I don't think I'll make it out any easier than the Water and Fire Temples.

I'm sensing that my Hyrule adventure in Ocarina of Time is nearing its end. But I don't need to see the end to say that if you haven't plated Ocarina of Time, you are missing out a lot in video games.

I'm really hoping for Nintendo to adapt Majora's Mask next. Seeing as it's the most rational decision to make. The only other better thing than an adaptation is the introduction of a new story. Both gets me incredibly excited.
