Event Coverage: April 11, 2014
Had a less tiring day today compared to the events yesterday, but regardless I still haven't found romance... yet.
I don't think I ever will.
I thought that going outside would increase my chances of finding 'The One' but alas instead of finding a Tracy McConnell I go on to the course of finding Neo...finding Neo, sounds catchy doesn't it?
Anyway, I have gone outside in the afternoon to help my mom with her work. My original plan for the afternoon was to go to the Garden of Prayers to go a few rounds up and down the stairs and jog back home but sadly (or thankfully) the weather acted up and I had to jog another day. Seeing as I was already in gear, if t-shirt and running shoes count as battle-ready, I just enjoyed the afternoon accompanying my mom with my nephew doing her work.
My nephew has grown a lot since the previous sem-break. He's, how should I put it, a lot more hyper now. I wonder what a cup of coffee could do to him.
Now out of the real world. My adventure in saving Hyrule has taken me far towards the Gerudo Valley. The Shadow Temple was another hard dungeon to get by but it's pretty straightforward compared to the Water and Fire Temple, provided you have the Lens of Truth of course.
The boss battle against Bongo Bongo was another thing. While the Shadow Temple was in fact scary with all those Floormasters crawling around and all the invisible platforms moving here and there, I never expected a bizarre boss. Bongo Bongo, so called because, well, we fight him on a giant bongo drum. Let's see, the boss was a giant cyclops with two wildly beating hands striking our hero and occasionally throwing him out to the poisonous waters.
It took me a while to catch my rhythm with that damn cyclops. Thanks to L-targeting and a wasteful spending of arrows via rapid firing, and a helpful sacrifice of a bottled fairy, I pulled through and finally got the Shadow Medallion.
After my escapade in the Shadow Temple I forgot where else I should be going since I practically visited all the places in Hyrule future that child link visited in Hyrule present.
You see, this is the merit of looking at maps, it saves you time but because I love exploration, even if I'm not a fan of excessive repetition going back and forth to places I've already visited in Hyrule, it took me a while to notice the two dots flashing on the map indicating where I should be going next.
Thankfully I had Epona to multiply my mobility (as how my professor in HUM 1 would have put it). I found myself in Gerudo Valley after a majestic leap by Epona to get through the broken bridge.
I'm currently raiding the place, it's kinda hard if you're not quick enough when dealing with the guards.
Well that's all for today.
Aside from a slight despair that I'm currently feeling right now, everything is cool. Although, I think I'd be having a rough time sleeping tonight.
...
Ok just help me let it out.
I'm missing a place where I haven't even been through yet.
Do you ever feel that? Yes, it's the feeling of longing for something that as of the moment is very far away. I feel as if I don't do anything now, I won't be able to achieve all that I want. It's a scary thought, how helpless you are in trying to achieve your dreams. That's a sin. To have a dream and a strong desire for it but you're still unable to grasp onto that dream and make it a reality.
I've already sinned a lot, but I for sure do not want to make my dreams part of my long list of sins.
No, my dreams are what should redeem me.
...
There, I let it out, thanks for your consideration.
I did warn all of you that I'm a whiner sometimes.
