I finally did something productive today aside from the epic staring contest that I had with my laptop.
Kuya Dado handed out the skeleton of the Hylian shield this morning. I quickly worked on the outer layer with silver spray paint. I would've finished painting it all if I had the colors that I needed. National Bookstore and Pandayan were both sold-out of the red, blue and yellow acrylic paint when I bought the materials (which was during the fatal 625).
It was my first time working on spray paint so I was a little shaky because there's absolutely no room for any mess up. I only get one shot unless my grandmother is still willing to give me back the leftover piece of plywood that I already gave to her yesterday.
I just sprayed on a small portion of the whole shield. I debated on whether or not I should spray paint the back of the main body of the shield, in the end I didn't because it'd look too bright.
My current problem now is the design on the body of the shield. While the symbols are pretty easy to draw and cut, the size of the symbols is what's bothering me. I can't get the right size that would be in perfect scale with the shield. In the end, all I did for today was spray paint the outer layer with silver spray paint...which is still cool...yeah.
I'm still not done with Noragami but after watching episode 9 I was sure that it deserved a spot on my top 30. It's currently the best anime that I've watched this year followed by So Ra No Wo To.
Meanwhile, I finally felt the importance of having a green glow stick in Vocaloid concerts.
Aside from my personal duties, one other being in existence is putting great stress to me each day: my nephew.
Yep, I said once that he's a troublesome heaven-sent angel given to us to love and care for but I don't think he's being taught the right protocols by the person closest to him, his mother. I don't approve of punishment even with the smallest pinch on a toddlers arm. There are two reasons for that first, because it's hurting the child, and second, what he sees is what he does.
I can't remember a day where my nephew didn't pinch me. I'm actually really thankful because he hasn't thought of going below the belt for his pinch-fest. While some might think that it's just a baby, he's fragile, ohohoho think again.
Right, my 3DS is probably fully charged by now. Gotta go.
I'll post more info about the Hylian Shield maybe tomorrow, if motivation allows it.
