Oh sh*t it's already August. Only eleven more days till the start of classes, and basically I have every right to get nervous now.

me: enjoying the vacation
acads: lol, not for long~ <3 |
For the first time in over a month I finally changed game cards. Rune Factory 4's huge difficulty spike on Arc 3 is giving me a whole new world of infernal destruction. I'm stuck at floor 3 where I have to fight that damn Crystal Mammoth. I've upgraded my gear to raise both offense and defense. My weapon of choice now is a short sword, Durendal so that I could also equip a Platinum Shield. This part of the game really knows how to put a much greater importance on crafting...damn it.
This is me hording in rare items as my monster companions raid the early levels of Rune Prana:
I still have three parts of the game to worry about: 1. Rune Prana, 2. Sharance Maze and 3. Getting Married.
Alright, let's talk about getting married.
|
if only proposals could get as epic and heartrending as this |
I can tell that the closest girl to my character in the game is Clorica. How? I check the stats, of course
(laaaawl).
Our relationship level is 8, though, it's not the highest. My relationship with Raven and Barrett top the list with 13 for both, the problem is they are two returning characters from past RF games and I can't even woo Raven
(she is damn hot).
My top three in stats so far are Clorica, Margaret and Amber. But if I were to choose only thee out of the six candidates I choose Dolce, Margaret and Clorica in that order. But because of my incredibly cotton-soft heart, I can't just heartlessly turn down Clorica's implied advancements even if she was pre-programmed to do all those things. It's just like make-believe romance, oh wait, dating sims are supposed to be like those, damn.
The problem with Dolce is that she doesn't stand out much without Pico. Pico adds greater depth to her character even if she is just a little ghost dependent on Dolce. The duo are just too perfect together for me to even butt in.
Margaret, on the other hand, is just too normal and sweet. She's more of an onee-san material than a waifu material.
This is what it feels like loving the three but choosing to marry Clorica:

my specialty happens to be badly edited x |
Back to reality. I've installed some of the needed programming tools for the coming semester. Virtual box kept me up last night trying to install Ubuntu. I think I still need to learn even just the surface of COBOL, Scheme, C++ and Python. While I'm at it I also need to refresh my programming "skills" in C and Java.
Yep, I'm dead set on marrying my laptop in the near future.
I was only able to watch less than ten anime series these past four months. I don't know why, but I'm more inclined to watching anime when I'm extremely busy and stressed out due to academics. But during the vacation I've become a fan of Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Breaking Bad.
Right now I'm busy with Resident Evil: Revelations. I'm currently at episode 7, proudly beat Rachel-reincarnate
(I just like to call her that) with just two grenades and a machine gun. I've overcome the usual paranoia I get when playing the game. I learned the hard way that it's better to dodge than to simply run away. I'm not sure if I'll be able to finish it until August 10, though. I also still have to complete Bravely Default and Kid Icarus: Uprising before moving on to newer games.
Which reminds me the release dates of Super Smash Bros. 4 3DS, and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire and Omega Ruby are getting near - October for SSB4 and November for the Gen. 3 remakes. Now I kiss goodbye my and my mom's tradition of attending CosplayMania.
By the way
RWBY vol. 2 episode 2 is out. Lots of RWBY mingling, still full of academic shenanigans that greatly implies yuri
(for me at least), and that ending. Geez, just about anyone can enter Beacon Academy, huh?

Ruby x Weiss is happening way to often in vol. 2...I like it. MORE YURIz! |
Just look at previous facts, Ruby got in because she showed courage and impressed Prof. Ozpin back at episode 1. It was said during the Cardin vs. Jaune arc (pun intended) that Jaune got in the academy through illegal methods, and now the mysterious trio. I'm pretty sure Glynda Goodwitch got a good look at Cinder during the pilot episode. But anyway, I like how the people at Rooster Teeth are bringing in all the fun, humor, excitement and drama all in just thirteen minutes.
One final note, I went into a fever pitch last week prompting me to write two chapters of Rosengarten. The pacing is slow, yes I've noticed that, but that's so I can give proper intros to the characters.
Read the new chapters (if you;re willing to) at:
Chapter 2: Thirteenth Toll of the Bells
Chapter 3: Infernal
