I finally crossed off Yoshi's New Island on my 3DS library last Saturday. After four months of torment from Mr. T. Yoshisaur Munchakoopas and his new childish game I parted ways with it on a good note at least.
My ad. in OLX Philippines actually did atract some buyers/traders and I ended up having a successful trade with the kind person who wanted to take the game off of my hands. Mr. Trader gave me a copy (also second-hand) of Monster Hunter Tri for the 3DS. It was a win situation for me since the trade saved me almost P 700 in contrast to selling Yoshi for P 1000. Monster Hunter Tri was one of the latest addition on my wishlist, though it's already an old game in the whole 3DS library. Game-to-System wise, I think it's a great game with my early progress.
It's also good to use the Circle Pad Pro on a different game other than Resident Evil and Kid Icarus.
This counts as the first time I've ever played a Monster Hunter title. The only closely related game that I've played with the same core mechanics was God Eater Burst. At least I already have the basic combat system down, still there's a lot in Monster Hunter Tri that's completely new to me so I'll probably be spending a few hours in noob mode as I get my act together slaying monsters.
