Mid-hell Semester

Get it? Get it? It's the middle of the semester but the notorious hell weeks are already upon us. So mid-hell as in middle + hell = mid-hell...ah shit I give up.
But yes, hell weeks - plural, as if a week of academic-induced extreme mental malady was not enough to wring all the motivation and determination out of us.

I've been out for three weeks thanks to my laziness and the mountain of requirements and take-home programming exercises that are still piling up week after week. This is the same reason why I haven't even considered writing a new post since all I ever have to talk about is my weekly checklist on what I can do and what I fail to do on time. I still find it hard to go back to my usual anime marathon mode, usually I go full retard watching at least half  a season's worth of anime. Right now I'm stuck at episode 7 of Hitsugi no Chaika which I started last month. And take note, that's still just the first season. If I'm not mistaken season 2 is currently airing as part of the Fall 2014 anime lineup.

My To-Do list is starting to become a nightmare week after week where I end up adding more work than crossing them out. The reason for this is because I only ever go extreme Acad mode during the weekend, and in most cases where I can't get a program to work I end up lamenting for the rest of the day looking at my laptop eye-to-screen hoping that some cute mage from another dimension would come and take me away because I'm needed to save their kingdom from their tyrannical leader all while suffering the glory of petanko harem (oh, I'd sure love that).
my current TO-DO list until...today
I have 5 major subjects this semester. So far the one giving me so much mental harassment is CMSC 131: Machine-level Programming. The concepts are good, yeah but when it comes to the programming part it all suddenly feels like navigating through a maze with a flashlight but you're wearing a blindfold. But even with the mind-bending dingdongs of Assembly, the other courses aren't really that far off in terms of difficulty. I mean beating the heck out of 3 Level 9 CPUs in SMASH is easy, but taking all those 5 courses with all those exercises every week is SMASH lag difficult.

But at least I finally broke the silence of my blog. So I got that going for me which is nice.
