The holidays came a little early this year in the form of a game that I've been waiting for since its rumored release in July - Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS.
What I felt as mom and I went to I-Tech earlier this day to grab a copy of the game was like Dr. Octavius holding the power of the sun at the palm of is hands.
Looks like saving my allowance for two months and not going to Cosplay Mania paid off.
Buuuuuuut...buuuuut...buuuuut I still have academics to worry about, so before I could go hardcore playing Super Smash Bros. with my girlfriend (aka my 3DS) I have to (and need to) set my priorities straight.
This is my first Smash game since I never really got hands on experience with the first one, Melee and Brawl so experiencing the game firsthand is truly magical like riding a pony through a river of rainbows chasing after a dragon eating pizza (.,,what?).
Anyway, my first match was with Toon Link against Marth. I do feel the clunky controls that IGN and Kotaku have been talking about but since I haven't gone hardcore yet I don't have any complaints. All I have right now is pure thrill.
I'll come up with a review either some time this week, or after I at least get 20-30 hours of gameplay.
