The joys of programming

There are none. Absolutely none. Unless the program actually works, which is pretty nice and epic rivaling that of Frodo and Sam successfully destroying the ring.
Last time I went in a serious programming frenzy was the night after vacation started. I thought I'd be able to hone my skills and work wonders with notepad++ and a thousand lines of foreign language during the 4-month vacation, but in my case right now I think I'm seeing my laptop conduct cybernetic sorcery in front of me.
Y'know, in a way programming feels like a text-driven adventure game where it's full of rage with such a steep mountain to climb before getting a fine glimpse of a reward.
Let's see, for this weekend I have a total of six programming exercises to complete (lol, "complete", like when?), two exams to study for, a reaction paper to write, two meetings to attend, a script to practice for our groups readers' theatre performance on Tuesday.
At first, I was like "Yeah, I can take this" but then Cosplay Mania is on this weekend and for the first time in three years, mom and I aren't going. But that's okay, because I'm saving up for something big this Christmas. Then a certain news just had to hit me hard and distract me till the ends of the earth until I get a copy of that "game". That's right, Super Smash Bros. 3DS is out now in the US but...BUT copies of the game have already arrived here in the Philippines and game stores around the country are already featuring the game.
So finally, here it is! One of the two games I'm saving up my allowance for (the other is Pokemon Alpha Sapphire).
I've already contacted I-Tech in SM City Calamba. The kind lady who answered the phone said that they already have the game in stock but only the Asian version is on sale. Their US version is reserved for those who pre-ordered the game.

This is one of those irritating moments where something is so close to see yet so far to grasp.

Like figuring out how to change a program that prints a solid diamond pattern to a hollow diamond pattern. I spent ages (four hours) on that this morning and I still haven't moved forward. And it's ASSEMBLY dangnabbit.
Ah damnit.
Is this what Ganon feels every time him, Princess Zelda and Link are all in the same room but he still can't get all those pieces of the Triforce? I mean c'mon! I have everything set for me to go hardcore in academics this weekend and all of a sudden I take three-hundred tremendous Hyaa to the head.
Bleeeehrgh

Ok, back to work.
