In one episode of Hyouka Chitanda mentions to Oreki that what you do in new years you do all year. Well, if that's true then I'll probably be lethargic for the majority of 2015 but then again I was practically tired for the majority of 2014 (which is another way of saying I was hyper lazy).
Let's see, I spent the first fourteen hours of the new year at home, six hours on the road, three hours at my relatives' house and one hour here in my room in the University - I've been here since *sobs*. Yeah, I know I have no right to lament because a lot of people resume their work or academics on January 5 (ours start on the 26th), some people didn't even have any holiday breaks because of their line of duty, so I'm sorry and I salute them for that. I am not, however, lamenting over the fact that I'm here in the University leaving Yuwii for a week, I'm more upset because of the reason behind it. And who's to blame? Me. Who else?
Flashback to about a year and three months ago, it was October and the semester break was upon us students hungry for sleep. There were still grades to be released but not yet online so we had to wait and lineup the traditional way if we wanted to get our grades early. This part is crucial because should we find any anomaly in the computation we can ask our professors on the get go. And then there's me, a gentleman in training who just went home without a care in the world. Around that time I was sure about all my grades except one nightmarish, number-filled field of knowledge...Istatistika Isa (STAT 1). I learned later during the sem break that I received the conditional grade of 4 which means I still have a chance of removing it and get a grade of 3, should I fail the removal exam I get the dreaded 5 and I repeat the subject because y'know cats have nine lives I have none. So yeah, that's the reason why I'm here right now to take the removal exam on the 7th. Now you might be asking why wait fifteen months? Well we're given a one year deadline to take the removal exam, you can take it anytime within that year but only once so it's up to you to take it early while the lessons are still fresh or wait and study some more. I went with the latter and boy am I having a hard time right now.
This is my first time spending a few precious days in the University while everyone else is in the middle of vacation. It's dreadfully quiet in here and I have never felt so alone in my entire life. The apartment complex is so quiet, I'm pretty sure I'm the only one in right now and every night I get nervous over the small random sounds I hear, yeah now I really miss those noisy neighbors. The University feels so empty it feels like I'm in an old western film set in a deserted town in the wild west. The fact that it's very chilly this month doesn't help boost my bravery counter, I just keep defaulting. Yup, my yearly allocated energy is gone on the first week...first weak. Yeah.
Anyway, let's just stop at that. Pshhhh can you believe that? My first post for this year is already boring people to death. Anyway, once I get all these early (actually really late) acads over with I'm going full retard on gaming again, also I have a few more unpublished year-end reviews, oh god the stress.
Oh, and a very Happy New Year to anyone bored enough that they ended up here. I know it's a late greeting but just take it from me as it is...or take it an advance for next year because who doesn't want something good in advance?

the 't', 'a', and 't' of STAT is basically a crying emoji |
