Without Hagumi

totally irrelevant intro photo
The whole family, including me (yes, I leave my cave from time to time) went to SM Pampanga two days ago for some family business that I know nothing of. Anyway we spent the majority of the day at the mall walking aimlessly without a care in the world, alright maybe that was just me the rest of them had other things in mind such as a replacement toilet seat.
Oh I'm serious:
The day didn't just end inside in the mall, though, as we also took a few hours to roam the newly built amusement park outside, the Sky Ranch. Let's see there's the usual Carousel because an amusement park has no right to be an amusement park without a friggin' ride with impaled horses perpetually running in circles imparting a creepy sense of enjoyment to little children. There are also a few variations of roller coasters because why the hell not? There's also the famous Anchors Away! or whatever it's called in other parks, it's basically the ship-designed pendulum, everyone loves that until they start to throw up after the ride. Aside from the thrill rides there are also booths with games such as topple the blocks, ring toss, and high striker. The prizes usually range from the usual stuffed animals to action figures, heh, luckily I'm way passed that stage in my life where I still enjoyed playing with a Spider-man action figure and a Batista action figure in what always had been a wrestling match with my bed as their ring (it sounds so inappropriate now, ugh).
Anyway the Sky Ranch also had my favorite amusement attraction, the Ferris Wheel. The one in Sky Ranch is called Pampanga Eye completely missing the opportunity to call it the Skeye Wheel, heh, see what I did there?
It's like a Waltz, isn't it? So wondrous
I never really found the Ferris Wheel to be as "fun" when I was a kid because it looked boring and out of place in a park filled with thrill. I only started to appreciate it after watching an episode of Hachimitsu to Clover (Honey and Clover) where Takemoto and the gang went on a trip to a very lonely amusement park. The most prominent attraction there was the Ferris Wheel and there came one of the most memorable moments in the series. Ayumi alone with Mayama in one capsule, and the love triangle of Shinobu, Hagu and Takemoto in another. Anyway call me shallow but that series really hit me hard, and it actually influenced me into liking the Ferris Wheel. That's why I'm talking about it now, right now...yeah.
Sadly on my part my Honey and Clover moment didn't come with an Ayumi or a Hagumi as I am not a Mayama, Shinobu or Takemoto to anyone, and even if I were I'm pretty sure that kind of romance would end up pretty bad to the two people involved in the relationship. Still, it was a fun ride alone in one capsule.
let's fill the empty void with Ms. Sticklady
The first ending theme song, Waltz, kept playing on my head and if I had a can of Dr. Pepper at the time I may have gotten the opportunity to be one with the universe. Here's the funny thing about all these, since I'm alone inside the capsule my weight probably tipped the whole capsule only to one side. I wonder what it looked like outside, heh damn my weight.
ahh the typical landscape - grass, trees, and a mountain
The view wasn't really spectacular but I really like seeing things from high places. It's there where every thing that I find blurry and confusing suddenly becomes crystal clear - that's a Bleach reference by the way, Bleach: Memories of Nobody to be specific.
This should count as my first normal post for this year. I've been all gaming lately the blog is about to turn into a gaming blog and, while I see no wrong in it, when the second semester starts I won't be having any motivation to post if it's not about gaming, well that's just me anyway. See y'all next post!
