I have a draft of what I intended to by my first post for April chronicling one of the smoothest journey back home I experienced yesterday, but several circumstances prevent me from finishing the heck out of it plus I haven't got any decent sleep since Monday (don't worry, it's intentional) so that post will have to wait.
Club Nintendo just released their lineup of free downloadable titles for Platinum members. It's not the most extensive list of games old and new but you can be sure that the titles offered are the very best during their era and still hold up pretty well in the current gen. Anyway, I mentioned here how I got Platinum status all in a few hours of typing codes and answering surveys. Now that status is put to good use. I still have a few coins left, Flipnote 3D is waiting to be redeemed, and a free title is out on the shelves just waiting for me to grab it. Here's my problem, out of the 28 titles they are giving up for free 3 are Zelda titles: The Legend of Zelda, The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages, and The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons.
I already have (and frustratingly finished) the first Zelda game, now those two other titles present themselves to me...but which of the two am I gonna get?
I'm not sure if both titles are on the Nintendo e-Shop, but if they are then I could just get one for free, and save up for the other. But then again if both are on the e-Shop then I can save up for both and choose a different title entirely...yeah Super Mario Galaxy 2 is calling out to me. In terms of rarity though, I'm pretty sure it's hard to come by a cartridge of the Oracles series whereas Super Mario Galaxy and Galaxy 2 are still pretty common both in the original version and Nintendo Selects version.
Dang, the last time I had to make a serious gaming decision was when I debated on buying Castlevania Lords of Shadow: Mirror of Fate. I bought it in the end, and to this day I still regret ever doing it.
This is gonna be another long night of pros and cons.
Gotta go!
