June 11

Finally, the long awaited start of classes began today.
I woke up 5:50 am. My first class was PE 2- Run, and since I have a long 3-hour break afterwards, I decided that I'll take a bath after PE 2.
So I microwaved my breakfast-fried rice and salmon and surfed the net while eating.

I left the dorm around 6:30 and rode a jeep to the track oval. This was the first time I had to take a jeep in the morning to get to a minor subject.
The morning was already warm but there was no sign of the sun- and it was kept hidden by the clouds for the majority of the day.
Since the venue of our PE 2 is in the Track Oval-and the place was quite big- my fellow students didn't know where to wait for the instructor of the course, and so we chose to wait at the sidewalk.
As I stood alone for around 15 minutes, a stranger (and also PE 2 student) greeted me and quickly befriended me. We chatted as we waited for the instructor. Twenty minutes had passed since 7:00 and there was still no sign of our instructor. My new acquaintance decided to stay for another 10 minutes before we left, but as a rule when the instructor hasn't shown up within 20% of the total hours of 1 session then the students are free to go. Ten minutes passed, and there was still no sign of the instructor and so we left.

I went back to my dorm. I had a whole 3 hours for myself and since no real classes started yet, I simply watched Sket Dance, continued my light novels and do "business"- all of those after taking a bath first.

My next class was CMSC 21- Fundamentals of Programming, it's a Computer Science course with CMSC 11- Introduction to Computer Science as its prerequisite. I barely passed CMSC 11 so I could only expect the hardest in this course. We only had an orientation of the course and we were dismissed.
My next class was CMSC 57- Discrete Mathematical Structures II, it's also a Computer Science course with CMSC 56- Discrete Mathematical Structures as its prereq. I found cmsc 56 to be much easier than cmsc 11 mainly because it's more paper-solving than actual programming. We also only had an orientation.
Afterwards, my next class was Math 27, a continuation of its prereq. Math 26. I also passed Math 26 with a good grade so I guess I have to, if not improve, apply the same method of how I studied Math 26 to this one.

I had a 30 minute break before my next class which was Hum 1- Literature, Man and Society. I spent that free time reading Norwegian Wood. When classes was on session, we were given a long orientation about the course and what to expect. I kinda have a bitter-sweet feeling for this course. Sweet because I love writing stories, bitter because we're, of course, required to learn a whole lot of different styles of writing and not just the style that each of us students came to know and understand best.

After Hum 1 was my last subject of the day which was the laboratory class of CMSC 21, we also had another orientation for this one. Meet and greets. Afterwards, we were dismissed early.

So far, the professors and instructors that I have in my subjects are all nice and charismatic. Along with these charismatic professors are my friends who I share the same section with. Because of their presence, I felt a slight boost of confidence now. I do hope, really, that this semester will be another great one.

I visited the church after dropping by my dorm to leave my things. I prayed for a short while and returned back. Since 6 hours ago, I've been inside my dorm locked away from the outside world. I continued watching Sket Dance and a lot of other solo activities.
Stand up! My Vanguard, Grassland Breeze, Sagramore!

There will be no classes tomorrow because the country will be celebrating the Philippine's 115th year of independence.
