Happy Laguna day!! is what I want to say but seeing as the rest of the country experienced a confrontation with heavy rain, celebrating is like implying an insult to an injury.
Last night, around 2 in the morning I finished Norwegian Wood. I gotta say it had a very bizarre ending. It seems like, after reading two novels by Haruki Murakami, the author has a knack for different kinds of oddities and still it makes you feel that everything is normal as you read. Is that what they call 'Writers magic'?
Anyway I wanted to start The Elephant Vanishes immediately but sleep overcame me.
I woke up at 8:30 today. Normal morning routine followed.
I went out around 10 to check on the office of the Fortune Insurance company apparently they took advantage of the holiday and really did not have any work this day.
Before going back to my apartment, I went to St. Therese of the Child Jesus Parish to pray and to the apartment of one of my friends to deliver the CD's of Sket Dance - episode 1 to 77- that he requested.
I got back to my apartment around 10:30 and went full hikikomori mode for the rest of the day.
I divided the afternoon and early evening to Study Time, Watch Time and Play Time.
My Study Time was dedicated to my Hum 1, CMSC 57 and Math 27 subjects. In my Hum 1 subject, our professor gave us a sort of group activity which was to be conducted tomorrow but I went out of my way work on it in advance. Besides the more outputs, the more options to choose from. The activity is the 100 word story. As stated in its name, we are tasked to make an original and compelling story that consists of exactly-no more, no less than- 100 words. This idea was taken from a contest once held by Reader's Digest with the winning author receiving $1000 in cash.
Our topic in CMSC 57 was Combinatorics, a topic that was taught to the batch I belong to all the way back in 3rd year high school Statistics.
Math 27 wasn't an entirely new lesson but the application was new. The topic was Integration of Transcendental Functions, basically the inverse process of getting the derivatives of the functions.
Watch Time was spent on "special business-happy hours", random fast paced movie skims, anime marathons and sound trips. I especially made good use of the time re-watching the 39's Giving Day concerts.
Play time consisted of playing Cardfight!! with Sami...in a losing effort via deck-out. I also used the time for surfing the net on random sites and also reading The Elephant Vanishes.
I ate a corndog and 3 slices of buttered bread for dinner. I've been busy, just a while ago, taking pictures of my face for the daily-yearly growth progress.
I saw a video like that once in youtube where a person took a portrait picture of herself everyday for 6 or so years. Then she made a fast-paced slideshow from day 1 to the latest photo that she took. You could really see the growth even in the tiniest detail, it was amazing.
I'd also like to write about the person whom I've been stalking in facebook for a very long time. She was my classmate since 2nd year of high school. We became good friends through anime but that friendship sort of scattered to pieces the moment I asked her to dance with me in the prom.
Well she was already my partner in the Cotillion but of course dancing with her outside of what was rehearsed should feel a lot more natural and different.
I'll elaborate on this further on a different post...I just feel like I need to let this one out.
Well then, so far so good? Not really.
The weather here in Laguna or more accurately Los Banos is in the middle of cloudy and sunny.
I don't know what's up with the Sun but I think he chose to shine brighter in this place than in other parts of the country.
The National Capital Region and my home province of Zambales experienced non-stop rain for the whole day, my mother told me.
And yet here, it's warm and very dry. I'm not complaining about the lack of rain here though, I'm complaining about the lack of sunshine in there.
Even nature has had enough of humanities' bullshit and decided to rebel against equality.
I do hope, if the weather finds unity for the whole country, tomorrow whether it's rain or shine should be national.
