Out of pure sentiment over the summer vacation that just passed, I'm posting whatever events that I remember in chronological order.
As you all know the season of summer occur in the months of July to September but in the Philippines-a country with only 2 seasons- the Dry Season (which is to say "Summer") occurs in the months of December to May. But the academic vacation usually begins on late March or Early April.
In my case, my Dry-vacation started March 27.
Though the vacation started early for me, I had to come back to UPLB to take my removal exams on April 7. So I had a short 10-day appetizer of vacation. On that 10-day period, a lot had already happened.
In-between that period was the Holy Week of the Christian Community, I remember that I still had to wake up early for the holy activities. My aunt and uncle came home from California for a 3-week vacation mainly to pay their respects to my uncle's father who passed away.
My aunt also bought me the trench coat that I used for my V cosplay. She also held an Easter Party for the whole family and relatives, we-or most probably the kids-enjoyed childish activities such as egg designing, chocolate ball dips and of course the traditional Easter Egg Hunt. The last time I joined an Easter Egg hunt was when I was still in elementary, now I get the honor of hiding the eggs and observing the children search in frustration (nyahahaha!).
On April 7, mom and I went back to UPLB for me to take 2 removal exams-one for my CMSC 11 and the other for NASC 2, both on the same day (April 8).
After taking the exams, my mom and I went to 2 churches, St. Therese of the Child Jesus parish and St. Anthony de Padua parish. Mom also agreed that she'd buy me my 3rd and most likely final PSP out of my own request. I was half guilty of it because the PSP was more of a "want" than a "need". I promised that the next gaming or whatever "want" gadget that I set my eyes on will be bought with my own hard-earned ka-ching!
*side-note:
My PSP history. I got my first PSP from my father. He bought it as, sort of, a gift for graduating elementary education for me. That was a PSP Slim and it stayed with me for 3 years. I broke it on the new year of 2012 as I was playing BlazBlue on the restroom when I had a tantrum because of Iron Tager, I bit my PSP and, not surprisingly, it broke.
My 2nd PSP was bought by my aunt. I got it on the new year of 2011. I wasn't able to use this PSP much for gaming because because it's system software was too updated for some modifiers to open it so that it can play downloaded games. I broke it on March last year after throwing it on the wall of my room after another tantrum caused by playing Soul Calibur 4.
My 3rd PSP was bought by my mom. I got it 2 months ago and it wasn't really planned that much. So, I guess, I surprised my mom when I said that I wanted a new PSP because of a petty reason- not being able to play for a whole year is maybe like a chain smoker not being able to smoke yet the cigarettes and lighter are right in front of him/her.
As I said above, mom bought me my latest PSP-which is a PSP 3000-but we kept it as a secret to other family members saying that that PSP was the PSP that my aunt bought which we got it fixed.
end of side note*
On April 9, other family relatives came to pick us up and we enjoyed the afternoon in a private pool that our aunts and uncles rented. This day also marks the first time my nephew got in a swimming pool. I was also reminded that a lot of confidence is needed when you're going to the pool without a t-shirt and you're more than 180 pounds (sigh, my weight...).

April went by really fun and as Mr. Bean would have put it, Time flies quickly if your having fun.
We attended Ozine Fest '13 and there I cosplayed V from V for Vendetta, the 2nd time I cosplayed on a national event. That event also proved that you won't feel exhausted, even for a whole 10 hours, just walking around, taking pictures, talking to people, cheering for other cosplayers and aspiring singers as long as you enjoy them.

I also became part of a lot of food-trips, mostly because of birthdays of relatives, reunions and other family gatherings. I knew then that it'd be pointless for me to exercise and hope for my weight to drop and so I adapted the motto of "Eat when there's food and when you're hungry, work when you've got energy".
We celebrated three close family birthdays today-
my mom's birthday which was last April 21, my uncle's birthday which was some days before my sister's and my sister's birthday which was last May 13. We also attended a wedding of another close family member, my uncle in my mother's side married my, now, aunt whom he met 2 years ago. They already had a son by that time and a daughter.

My aunt and uncle went back to California on April 15-just 2 days after the cosplay event.
The month of May was much quieter for me even if-in fact-the whole country was on an uproar because of the, then, 2013 senatorial elections. I'm pretty sure I've elaborated much on the month of May because that's when I started this blog, Inukami's Journal.
Mid-May, I met Sami, the girl of my life (nyahaha!). Well that's how I put my relationship with her. Ever since meeting her, she's always been with me even if she's (physically) not.
My mom, Sami and I went back and forth to Los Banos to move rooms and register on the last-half of May.
I can say I've accomplished a lot in my 2013 Dry-vacation, even if their mostly not academic-related. I've done things that I usually can't do during the school year and I'm very thankful for that...I am really grateful to the people who joined me in my dry-vacation and of course my Lord and my God.
Here I go again being sentimental.
I enjoy reading Life is but a Dream by Lewis Caroll on times like this and on quiet and peaceful summer afternoons...
Dreaming as the Days go by, Dreaming as the Summers die...
Well then, thank you for reading.
