July 2, 2013

I woke up around 6 am today. Usual Tuesday morning routine.
I arrived at the bathhouse around 6:48 am.

We had the usual warm-up exercises around the pool area first, afterwards our instructor gave the rest of the time for that session for our first Phase Running. We were tasked to jog, light jog, brisk walk and sprint-run for 3 laps around the upper ground (equivalent to 2.4 km) changing the phase at certain points in the area.
My running partner and I finished the 3 laps around 21 or 22 minutes. That is, so far, the most tiring activity that we did in our PE 2 RUN class.
I went back to my apartment to take a bath and relax for an hour and a half.
During that time, I saw a post about the "megane effect" and I thought I'd try it out even if it was badly edited. Here's the photo-
now you're clearly seeing my face for the first time

I went out, again, at 10:00 am 30 minutes earlier than usual because I had an errand to do.
I was supposed to meet my assigned Faculty-In-Charge in NSTP 1 to check my insurance card. It took me about 20 minutes looking for where the room was, I got lost a few times and overall I think I managed to cover up 1/4 of the whole Institute of Biology. Luckily my FIC was present and even photocopied my insurance card free of charge. She was pretty nice...and cute, too...despite the age difference of maybe about 7 years.

I arrived at the ICS 30 minutes before our CMSC 21 class.
I managed to stay awake for the whole lecture this time, which was a great achievement in my part. We had a lecture about Pointers in C programming.
In our CMSC 57 subject, we had a lot of examples regarding last meeting's lecture and also a surprise quiz (which was indeed a real surprise because our lecturer is known for not giving too much quizzes during lecture sessions).
We also had a quiz in Math 27 at the very start of the lecture and following that was another mind boggling lecture about derivatives yielding logarithmic function and a topic about Super Products, Super Quotients etc.

After our Math 27 subject, I stood-by CAS A2 for a while and called my mom. I informed her that I already informed the online anime shop that our orders were already paid. As I was talking to my mom, she was busy handling my nephew who has been bathed with his milk and enjoying it.

Our Hum 1 class was also a simple lecture about the elements of literature, POV and literature approaches.
The lecture seemed to have lasted forever because of the lack of a wall clock in our view (the wall clock was positioned at the very back wall so nobody dared to look at it while our professor is talking).
After Hum 1, I went straight to the 3rd floor PC labs back in ICS and waited for time to hit 4:00 pm.

Our CMSC 21 lab session was about parameter passing and also pointers. We had an exercise about pointers, and thanks to the notes that I managed to type down in the notepad, I finished it by myself.
I was able to leave class an hour early. I stopped by the church to pray and went back to the apartment.

I took a quick bath immediately when I got back. I only got to read my new text messages after I settled down, one of the new messages was from the person who was selling his copy of the Statistics handbook for a discounted price of 180 PhP.
I didn't want to go outside again but just as I was about to surf the net, a university wide blackout occurred. So I had no choice but to go out after all and meet the upperclassman selling his copy.
I waited for 15 minutes in the Carabao Park. A lot of people were passing by in the darkness of the young evening. I got a message from the upperclassman that he wants us to meet at Insight near Centromall, but because I didn't know where it was we finally got into an agreement that we'd meet at 7/11. During my short walk to the meeting place, the power in the university and the Grove went back up. When I got to 7/11,
I paid the price and got my book, we both said sincere 'thank you's to each other then went on our separate ways.
I got back to my apartment around 7:30 pm. I ate 2 strips of salmon belly and 2 links of sausages as I surfed the net.
I studied for a short while in statistics making use of my new handbook.
After I post this, I guess I'll surf the web some more then go to sleep.
Well then, goodnight!
