Path to a Novel

Different writers, different style. I've read that saying quite a lot on several blogs dedicated on giving tips on how to be a better writer.
Never must we imitate the style of others.

I started writing my first "novel" one boring afternoon on October 16, 2008. Back then my style was like that of a script on a play. All dialogues and subtexts of a characters actions. The title of that story which I continued until early 2011 was Senshi-Shikiwasu. It's not an entirely original novel, actually it's just a mash-up of several concepts coming from Rockman no Ryuusei, Castlevania and mainstream anime with (at the very least) originally crafted characters.
The story was about (yup, you guessed it) Shikiwasu being tasked to protect his home planet from the Celestial Realm by the Celestial Realm.
The Celestial Realm is divided into two factions, the Order of Serverinu and the Governing gods.
The Order of Serverinu are full of characters which I constructed myself, while the Governing gods are derived from the greek gods and goddesses headed by Kronus.

I managed to write about 200+ chapters which ranges from 6 to 20 pages. It typically follows how each story arcs move starting with trigger events, big battles then conclusion.
Along with Senshi-Shikiwasu, I wrote about other stories. Here's a short list:

Blind Track
- story about a blind male lead who wants to pursue a track and field career. He's taken care of by seven maids, a childhood friend and the ghost of a female pilot who died in a plane crash which was the main reason the male lead is blind.
(The story closely resembles Twin Spica)

Loyalty Meets Royalty
- I was currently hooked up with Hayate no Gotoku when I cooked up this idea. It's the typical butler-mistress story type. The orphanage where the main male lives is scheduled to be demolished after not being able to pay its bills for a whole year. While the main male lead was currently looking for a job, he stumbles upon a lady that is being mistreated by her butlers...and the story goes on. It's actually very predictable.

Project Yuumei
- Project Yuumei was a group work headed by one of my friends. I'm not gonna share anymore of this because it's not actually my intellectual property, I just helped out with a few chapters (although a few actually speaks for about 20 chapters).

Since 2011, I revamped my writing style and tried to apply the real novel style of writing stories. I draw inspiration from several light novels such as Toradora and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya for romance and comedy, and To Aru Majutsu no Index, NisiOisin's Monogatari series and Chrome Shelled Regios for a more action-oriented story.

But don't get me wrong, I'm 100% sure that all my stories now are completely original. Of course, reusing old concepts and reinventing them is a nice touch, the general idea of it all come from me.

Apparently, I didn't imagine that it could be this hard and time consuming.
I usually sit down in front of my laptop and think out scenarios. While I excel at that, interaction between characters is dull and short.
What's more, I'm in a constant conflict on what kind of POV I should use. I think using multi-view in one story might be a little too confusing and unattractive so...I don't know.

I'm currently cooking up about nine new stories with interconnected ideas. I might as well make one big universe.
