Searching for 625

625 rupees without cutting grass!

National Bookstore made a fatal error last April 21 when my mom bought me some art materials for my cosplan this vacation. The total came out at more than a thousand when all my mom paid for were two brushes, two illustration boards, two cartolinas, one silver spray paint, one wood glue and one duct tape.
Unless the duct tape was made of gold leaf then the price wouldn't come out as a surprise, but no all those materials only amount to about 400. Turns out the cashier accidentally punched in another item priced at 625 and we didn't even got whatever that item was.

Unfortunately we only checked the receipt when we got home. Still we were able to contact the branch and negotiate with them. The management couldn't offer a refund but they at least offered us to pick a replacement item instead.
So basically we have 625 credit in National Bookstore and we could get any item, or any number of item as long as it's below or exactly 625. I can just walk in the store, pick a book then walk out without getting arrested. Awesome.

It also gave me a reason to go out today and unwillingly spend money. I should note that Ozine Fest 2014 is just around the corner so I should probably be holding on to my ammunition at least until the event. Once the event ends and in the fortunate case that I haven't spent all my ka-ching! in the event I'd go full retard on my other plans, maybe also buy some new games for the 3DS in the process.

But now I face a difficult question - What item should I buy?
I've been eyeing some books from Haruki Murakami. I'm not joking when I say Murakami's novel gets a little tiring at times because handling his bizarre tales blending in with the norm has its toll. However, I absolutely love the setting of Murakami's stories.
Still, there are other books out there which I know I MIGHT enjoy.

Then again there might be other items in the store that I'd find useful in my cos-projects.

Well then, time to get ready.
