Super Mario 3D World: ...oh we're not done

My trip back home yesterday wasn't the most enjoyable nine hours of my life. Normally I enjoy bus rides especially if I'm on a trip back home after being away for a while but I've been cruelly reminded just what kind of disorganized system most of these bus companies run on by promising a bus trip every thirty minutes when in reality they make you wait for two friggin' hours.

Anyway when I got home I was too tired to play through Makar's part in the restoration of the Master Sword in the Wind Waker so I just went on to have some fun with Super Mario 3D World. I never really made any posts about my progress in 3D World save for the mini reports whenever I post something about my progress in Zelda.
My last save was at world Bowser-7 - the one where you use a crystal block to get through the stage. Bowser-7 is easily one of the hardest courses in the game because it's more of a game of 'patience and precision' platforming than 'run all the way' platforming which I enjoy most of all.
from mariowiki
The ideal character to use in this course is Peach because, well, she can float for a while giving a window of opportunity to save yourself from incinerating her powerful buttocks but I still died a few...ok a lot of times say 10 to 15 lives wasted on this course alone.
I did manage to survive still with plenty of lives left thanks to the Easy Triple Crown trick I found on the web. Here's a video of how I did it:
The triple crown life is 1110 ups which should be enough to go through the remaining courses without having to worry about running out of lives and getting a game over.
After Bowser-7 came Motley Bossblob's Encore and Hisstocrat Returns. Those two were just mid-boss fights with one green star as a reward, the difficulty was up a notch compared to their first encounter but a three well-timed bops to each of them did the trick. The real and epic boss fight was just about to begin.
grandiose, is it not? whoever's Bowser's designer deserves all the shiny medal in the world
The Great Tower of Bowser Land, the Bowser-Castle of this world was an epic final boss fight. While not really that hard this level was thrilling nonetheless, and the glorious climb to the top of the building while being chased by five or six Meowsers to hit a large POW Block has got to be one of the best moments in any Mario title. After dealing with Meowser and his doubles we finally get to free the Sprixie Princesses and enjoy a well-deserved end credits.
But, oh geez, we're far from over!
Just before the screen fades to black and back to the title screen, the Sprixies are seen around a large block back in World 1. What are they up to? Well...this:
The Sprixies can build anything with just their hammers
Similar to Super Mario 3D Land's warp pipe to the Special Worlds, this rocket that the Sprixies built goes up to an extra world with more challenging courses that leads up to more challenging worlds. The first World is the star World with Super Mario Galaxy themes and wait...is that, is that a Luma?
Wtf, they took the Super Mario Galaxy theme to the next level. But if there's a luma here then, could it be? Could she be in this course?
It's her!! Rosalina makes a cameo appearance in 3D World! But oh, I wish she was a playable character...
...and she is an unlockable playable character! This is nice! This is really nice!!

Ok let's cut the 'surprised' overreaction. I played this last night so what I'm typing now are after thoughts but still playing as Rosalina isn't a new thing since I've played her in MK7 and Smash 4 but Rosalina in a platforming game, this is a first!
Rosalina plays almost the same as Princess Peach their only difference is in their jump actions. Peach can float while Rosalina can do a spin attack (similar to the Galaxy titles) both in the ground and while in the air giving a slight boost.

I'd like to consider Super Mario 3D World to be the first title I finish on the Wii U but because of these special worlds with harder challenges and all the other green stars and stamps I haven't collected I think I have no right to say I've completed this title as in 100%. I watched the Completionist's episode of 3D World and heck completing this 100% takes a lot of effort. But that's what I really like about this Mario title, you won't run out of things to do the first time you play it.
For now I won't give a rating since I haven't given it a proper review but in a few days maybe. Well, game time!
